Task: In two visual movie theater halls 624 places. In one hall 3 times are more than places, than in another. How many places in the smaller auditorium?

34
Since in one hall in 3 times are more than places, than in another, all there are 4 identical parts of places - one part in one hall and 3 parts in another, i.e. in the smaller hall there are 1/4 part of all places: 624*1/4=156 it is possible to solve also by means of the equation: x - places in the smaller hall of the 3rd - places in the bigger hall x the +3rd =624 of the 4th =624 x =624:4=156
