Explain how to derive a production possibility curve.


In order to derive one of these things, you have to be given some data.  You have to be given the two axis labels -- in other words, you need to know what the two things you are able to make are.  Then you have to be told at how many of each you can make.  So if you are making tanks and cars, for example, you'd have to be told that you can make 100 tanks and 500 cars or 300 tanks and 400 cars, for example.

So -- you need to be told that sort of data before you can make one.
