Explain how and why Jeanne's life is easier at Manzanar than for the other family members?

In my opinion, Jeanne's life at the internment camp is easier than life is for the rest of her family because she is younger than everyone else.

That is not to say that Jeanne has it easy.  She is packed into the cramped quarters and she has to deal with family quarrels.  However, she does not have it as bad as the adults.  After all, the adults are actually having to do the quarreling; they are the ones having to deal with these difficult issues.  For example, it is Woody and the father who have to decide what to do about things like loyalty oaths and going into the army.  Meanwhile, Jeanne is twirling a baton...
