Agreed!

Explain Johnny's interpretation of Robert Frost's poem, "Nothing Gold". Thanks! (:

220

Johnny interprets this poem as being about the lives of people like him and Pony.  He believes that the poem is talking about how they start their lives unspoiled, with confidence and hopes and humanity.

To him, most people in their situation are unable to remain in that state.  Instead, something inside them withers.  This is seen most especially in Dally's personality.

Johnny thinks that Pony would be able to break away from this fate.  He thinks that Pony can "stay gold" and not become hardened and cynical.  He thinks Pony can retain his hopeful and humane outlook on life.
